kahaI am a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at Southwestern University. My research agenda focuses on  ethnic politics, democratic transitions, and political parties in Europe. My core research project analyzes party politics and governing coalitions in countries where the party system is divided along ethnic lines. An article from this project is published in Party Politics. I also am working on a project that investigates how political parties in Europe position themselves on the issue of gestational surrogacy. A co-authored article on the politics of gestational surrogacy in Spain was recently published in Women’s Studies.

I received my PhD from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in December 2018, and I previously taught at Dartmouth College, Middlebury College, and UNC-Chapel Hill. For more information, my CV is available here.
